Hometown Knives Damascus Skinner Knife HT-51 is hand crafted and beautifully fitted with Turquoise Stone and White Tail Stag to not only appeal all eyes but perform functionally. This knife has over 35 hrs of forge work invested into it, including; forging, filing, fitting, grinding, etching, filing and polishing. This knife is not just a showpiece, its fully functional. Forged and Heat-treated to resist wear and take the impact.

Comes with a Cow Hyde custom sheath dyed in Black. It protects the sharp blade and fits the skinner like a glove. Hand formed to fit this functional art piece to perfection.

Damascus steel hand forged with combinations of 1095 High Carbon Steel and 15N20 forming over 275+ layers. We oil quench and temper to a hardness of 56-58 Rockwell C. Some of the many Damascus steel advantages include the following: Blade edge resistance from the harder steel, micro serrations from the alternating layers, ductility from the 15N20.

Maintenance:
Wash and dry the blade of all corrosive liquids after use. Apply oil ( for eg. Gun Oil) to preserve and protect the blade from rusting. DO NOT store the knife in the provided sheath for a long period (>1 week).

Sharpening:
Upon wear use ceramic stones to re-sharpen the blade. Other belt systems (for eg. Worx) also work well and give excellent results.
